Nanaga Farm Stall
The Nanaga Farm Stall is one of the most famous and recognized land marks in the Eastern Cape, South Africa. There are very few people from this region who have not had Nanaga interwoven into their lives – and this applies to all age groups. Given that this farm stall has been in existence for 40 years, is in itself remarkable, having started from humble beginnings.
And it is all because of the pies!!!! Being on a national road – N2 – it has a long history of being an integral part of the holiday for hundreds and hundreds of visitors to the Eastern Cape, from all corners of the country. No holiday would be complete without a box of frozen pies purchased at the Nanaga Farm Stall, only later to be bundled into the oven on arrival at the destination of choice. Or, to be savoured in the relaxed country restaurant, turning hungry tummies into happy ones for the remainder of the journey. Then there are always the motorists who have deadlines to meet – these people can be seen hastily purchasing these little pockets of gold, dashing out to the car with a look of pure anticipation written all over their faces. Certainly unable to wait any longer they bite into these delicious morsels and the pies are swiftly wolfed down. The engine is engaged, and off they go! Contentment is obvious. Read more here... News
