Welcome to the Sunshine Coast Charity Trust Golf Day.
We are so privileged and extremely grateful with the support and enthusiasm
generated by our 4th annual Golf Day. Your ongoing interest in our charity continues to inspire us.
The lives of the impoverished children and communities that we assist along the Sunshine Coast will be enhanced by your involvement in today.
Your generosity will impact the young lives at:
- Ikhwezi Support Group, Alexandria (people infected and affected with HIV/AIDS)
- Ikhaya Lethemba “House of Hope” Daycare Centre- SCCT initiated project providing a haven for orphans in KwaNoqubela, Alexandria
- Isipho HIV/AIDS Project, Paterson. We are still educating Nomahlubi to be a grade R teacher for the preschool
- Colchester Community Outreach Programme
When we first started out 4 years ago and after our very First Golf Day was such a huge success, a friend with Charity experience said this to us:
"The First year of hosting a function is always an easy one- you have the novelty value and with hard work, it is generally a success. The 2nd year is far more difficult as you are still unknown, but you are trying to replicate the previous year with some improvements, the 3rd year is a bit easier as your sponsors are beginning to realise that you are serious and plan to succeed. And the 4th year you have proved yourself and you will fly."
Our first Golf day raised R28 000.00, our 2nd year – R23 000.00, our 3rd – R31 000.00 and this year we have flown- you, our sponsors and our competitors have raised in the region of SIXTY THOUSAND RAND for our beneficiaries!!!!
Without your support and enthusiasm this would not be half the day it has turned out to be and we are truly blessed and extremely grateful to every one of our Sponsors and Players. And as you can see we once again have incredible prizes for you to win today.
I have the Sunshine Coast Charity Committee and Iain and Zelda at the Nanaga Farm Stall to thank for all their hard work and for their utter commitment to this golf day and it’s success.
Also a big thanks to Ron and his team at the Royal Port Alfred Golf Club for hosting our event again this year.
Our Beneficiaries, Isipho in Paterson, Ikhaya Lethemba, our House of Hope in Alexandria and the Colchester Outreach programme will greatly benefit by every cent that has been raised here today. Please take a moment to read the Brochure that is on the tables and you can see for yourself where the money has and will be spent.
