Over the years these amazing pies have reached iconic status, and Nanaga enjoys a very strong contingent of regular visitors who relish a trip to Nanaga as a day’s outing, enjoying the rural ambiance, the country air, affording urban folk the opportunity to share a true farm experience. Lying 50km outside Port Elizabeth, approximately 55km from Uitenhage, 70km from Grahamstown and 100km from Port Alfred, it is a leisurely drive.
There is another element to Nanaga, and that is the Guest House, offering 3 beautifully appointed en–suit bedrooms, an elegant lounge, and fully equipped kitchen - it is a treasure waiting to be discovered. Situated a stones throw from one of the most famous game lodges in the entire world, as well as other internationally famous farms and lodges, it is also within a comfortable drive to some stunning golf courses, as well as Port Elizabeth which offers some of the best beaches in South Africa.
The Nanaga Farm Stall and Guest House is located on a working dairy farm belonging to Malcolm and Leigh-Anne MacKenzie, and it is Leigh-Anne’s passion for the Farm Stall, inherited from her mother, who started the farm stall all those years ago, that has inspired her to grow from strength to strength. Having been selected as one of the top 15 Farm Stalls in the country this year (Country Life Magazine) is no mean feat. After all, as famous as the pies are, the quaint and charming farm stall does not only serve pies!!! The selection and variety of items available is nothing short of astounding.
It is certainly worth a visit, so when next travelling ensure you plan your route carefully so as to incorporate the Nanaga Experience as part of your holiday or journey. The Nanaga Farm Stall is ideally situated half way between Cape Town and Durban and is 621km from Bloemfontein. A treasure trove awaits you!
