Half way between Durban and Cape Town, a day's drive from Bloemfontein and situated on the doorstep of the Addo Elephant National Park, and numerous other private game reserves such as Shamwari and Amakhala, is the Nanaga Guest House. This 3 star establishment is ideal as a stop-over for the weary traveller, or as a base from which to explore the nearby attractions.
The guest house stands a short drive off the main road, in its own shady garden with private and secure parking, on the working dairy farm Nanaga, close to the main farmhouse but completely private and self contained.
With its wooden floors and high wooden ceilings it retains the spacious and airy feeling of its origins while enjoying all the mods cons.
There are three spacious, cosy and comfortable bedrooms, two with double beds and full en-suite bathrooms, and one twin with an en-suite shower.
There is a beautifully decorated lounge with a large open plan kitchen, which is fully equipped with a 4 plate stove, microwave, fridge/freezer, water cooler etc and a dining table.
Limited bar facilities are available.
All rooms have ceiling fans and there are heaters for the winter months as well as hairdryers.
The house has both a front and a rear verandah (stoep) so guests can enjoy sun or shade, breeze or calm as the fancy takes them.
There is a barbeque facility (braai), as well as a swimming pool and tennis court available to use at any time.
Guests can stay on either a self-catering or bed and breakfast basis. A full South African breakfast can be enjoyed at the nearby Nanaga Farm Stall.
Here you can also select from our wide variety of delicious produce for your self-catering needs or for snacks for your journey (padkos). (Farm Stall open 08:00 to 17:00 daily except Christmas Day and New Years Day).
