Dear Friends,
Welcome to our 6th annual Golf Day. Thank you for your support over the years, we trust that you had a successful round of golf today!
Who we are…
The Sunshine Coast Charity Trust (SCCT), was founded in November 2004 and is involved in raising funds to assist impoverished communities and individuals in need along the Sunshine Coast.
Our main beneficiaries include:
1.) Isipho Charity Trust (in Paterson)
2.) “Ikhaya le Themba” - House of Hope (Including Ikhwezi in Alexandria)
3.) Colchester Outreach Program
4.) Moreson Soup Kitchen from April 2010 (in Paterson)
Exciting Developments
Sponsor-a-child
Over the years SCCT has funded adult education and training in various forms. After identifying a unique little boy by the name of “Orange” we have been challenged to seek sponsorship for his education. Orange – his real name is Sibusiso Mxube, currently enrolled in pre-primary sponsored by one of our members, has staggered his teachers with his learning ability, even at this age. We believe that this little mind cannot go to waste, cannot be allowed to drift into mediocrity, or worse still, not be educated at all.
We are looking for someone to invest in Sibusiso, this sharp little mind needs to be honed and groomed for greater things. This is a unique opportunity not only for Sibusiso, but also for the company with foresight. We have calculated that an amount of between R11 000 and R15 000 a year would be required to cover his educational costs at the Nanaga Primary School. We propose that the commitment be for 3 years. During this time, we will ensure that regular progress reports be submitted, together with his school reports and photographs, documenting his development.
It is our greatest desire that once the sponsor sees the potential in this child, that the commitment will be extended indefinitely.
We trust and hope that someone out there, with the corporate/private means to assist Sibusiso, will come forward, and make the most unimaginable difference possible to a fellow human. And that the Sponsor-a-child project will grow in the years to come.
